I have always been riddled by the question:
What does it mean to live a good life?
Curious about the experience of being human, deepening my relationship to self, and having autonomy over my own life, I began an introspective practice at a young age. The desire to live a good life and defining what that means to me, has been a guiding force in my personal, professional, and creative lives.
A creative life has been all I’ve known since I was a young girl–playing dress up, writing short stories, feeling most at home on stage. In the early days of my creative career, the path to creative success looked linear: become a professional, get paid for your artistic gifts as a dancer / writer / artist. As I grew up, and experienced more of life, I began to understand that a creative life is about who you are, not always what you do.
The path that I have chosen to take may look unconventional to some, but it has taught me that with enough trust and creativity, you can design your life in a way that supports your vision for success in life, not the life that was planned out for you. It has given me the opportunity to try on many imaginary lives, from reading astrology in Hawaii to teaching meditation in Mexico City, with every season of my life, a deeper understanding of myself and purpose in this lifetime emerges.
MY WRITING
In my writing, I explore the “big questions” of life and through that, hope for my readers to do the same. My creative work serves as a container to capture the passing of time, the many lessons learned along the way, and as a personal support system to help as I externally process my internal experiences.
NEWSLETTER
In my work with clients, my ethos is the same: how do we define success for ourselves, outside of the societally conditioned view of accomplishment? How do we invite play into work? What is your unique vision for success and how can I support you to create systems and guidelines to help you achieve that?
